Biografía
Alejandro Chaskielberg (Buenos Aires, 1977) es fotógrafo, director y docente. Egresado como Director de Fotografía del ENERC - Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales de Argentina, ha desarrollado proyectos en diferentes regiones del mundo, desde la Patagonia Argentina, Surinam, Kenya, Japón e Italia.
Publicó tres libros fotográficos: La Creciente, Otsuchi Future Memories y Laberinto. Recibió el premio Iris de Oro - World Photographer of the Year 2011 otorgado por la World Photography Organization, también el premio All Roads Photography otorgado por la National Geographic Society y la beca BURN Emerging Photographer Grant, otorgado por BURN - Magnum Foundation, el premio RM 5th Iberoamerican Photobook Award y el Leopold Godowsky Jr. Award otorgado por la Boston University, entre otros.
Su obra fotográfica fue presentada en la Brighton Biennial 2009, en la Daegu Photo Biennial Korea del Sur 2014, en la Ballarat International Photography Biennial en Australia 2015, en Bienalsur en Argentina 2019, entre otros.
Su trabajo fue presentado en la Bienal de Brighton comisariada por Martin Parr en 2009 y en la Daegu Photo Biennial Korea del Sur 2014 y la Ballarat International Photography Biennial en Australia 2015 y también ha expuesto en muchos festivales fotográficos en todo el mundo. Ha sido uno de los Masters de la Primera Masterclass Latinoamericana organizada por World Press Photo y Master en la ISSP - International Summer School of Photography en Letonia.
Chaskielberg actualmente está creando instalaciones de video y murales para teatro y ópera, y también trabaja como director de fotografía. Recientemente dio su primera charla TED en el prestigioso Teatro Colón de Buenos Aires.
